HST 3101 – HISTORIOGRAPHY – COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course is designed for students majoring in History under the semester system. It is intended to trace the emergence of historiography from the ancient to the modern period.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

The course is intended to: -

1.     Expose students to the emergence of historiography over the years.

2.     Encourage mature discussion and debate on various aspects of historiography.

These objectives will be achieved through lectures, discussions, tutorial presentations, library research, semester essays, book reviews, etc.
